Friday Night Special: Songs Not About Squid



In keeping with my recently stated intention to post an instant dewdrop of musical joy for your iPod each Friday night, what follows is a description of a number of electic laid-back global tunes all of which have nothing to do with squid.

11 Gleams Of That Golden Morning (Bluegrass Cardinals. Bluegrass gospel from the masters out of California.)
12 God Bless The Child (Freddy Hubbard pays homage to Lady Day with his golden flugelhorn.)
13 Golden Rule (Charles Bradley. The R&B find of 2010 wonders why its so hard to make it in America today.)
14 Hallelujah (Leonard Cohen. Nothing more need be said, except Amen brother.)
